Description: Perennial herb, to 1.9 m tall, stems 4-angular, grooved on opposite sides, densely villous-pilose. Leaves 3.2-10 x 3.1-8 cm; petioles 1-7.5 cm long. Spikes 8-38 cm long, peduncles villous-pilose. Cracts subulate, 6 mm long; corolla to 17 mm long, tube to 7 mm long, pale greenish-white, upper lip pale greenish-white, 6 mm long. Nutlets to 2.5 mm long, shining black; areola basal.
