Description: Perennial herb, stem erect, upto1.5 m high, nearly cylindrical. Leaves oblong-elliptic to oval elliptic, 6.3-11X2-4.2 cm. Flowers zygomorphic, bisexual, corolla greenish white, in simple axillary cyme, bracts lanceolate, five petals fused into a cylindrical corolla tube expanded into a 2-lipped limb. Stamens 2 inserted in the corolla tube. Fruit capsule 0.3X2 cm. loculicidally dehiscent with orbicular helicoids seeds.
